Heat sugar, butter, corn syrup an salt, stirring occasionally until bubbly around edges. Continue cooking over medium heat 5 min. Remove from heat. Stir in soda until foamy. Pour over popped corn and stir until corn is coated. Place in roaster in oven \u2013 half in lid &#038; half in bottom and bake at 200-250 degrees for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes to separate kernels. Turn out on wax paper.
