{"id":179,"date":"2016-02-28T18:42:12","date_gmt":"2016-02-28T23:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/feedanddrink.com\/?page_id=179"},"modified":"2016-03-02T13:28:40","modified_gmt":"2016-03-02T18:28:40","slug":"sweet-and-sour-chicken","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/feedanddrink.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=179","title":{"rendered":"Sweet and Sour Chicken"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Serves:<\/strong> 4<br \/>\n<strong>Gluten Free:<\/strong> Yes<br \/>\n<strong>Preparation Time:<\/strong> 45 minutes<br \/>\n<strong>Cooking Time:<\/strong> 15-20 minutes<br \/>\n<strong>Difficulty:<\/strong> Medium<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\nMarinade<br \/>\n2 tablespoons cornstarch<br \/>\n\u00bc cup soy sauce<br \/>\n1 clove garlic minced<br \/>\n1 egg yolk<br \/>\n1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts cut in 1\u201d pieces<\/p>\n<p>Sauce<br \/>\n1 can (14 oz\/398mL) pineapple chunks undrained<br \/>\n\u00bd cup Ketchup<br \/>\n1\/3 cup corn syrup<br \/>\n1\/3 cup vinegar<br \/>\n2 tablespoons corn starch<br \/>\n\u00be teaspoon salt<br \/>\n2 green peppers cut in squares<br \/>\n2 tomatoes  cut in small wedges<br \/>\n1\/3 cup corn starch<br \/>\n\u00bc cup corn oil<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation Instructions:<\/strong><br \/>\n1.\tcombine marinade ingredients and marinade chicken for 30 minutes<br \/>\n2.\tDrain juice from pineapple into large saucepan<br \/>\n3.\tStir in ketchup, corn syrup, vinegar, 2 tablespoons of corn starch and salt and bring to a boil<br \/>\n4.\tStir constantly.  Boil 1 minute<br \/>\n5.\tAdd green pepper.  Simmer for 3 minutes<br \/>\n6.\tAdd tomatoes and pineapple chunks.  Keep warm<br \/>\n7.\tSprinkle 1\/3 cup corn starch over undrained chicken.  Toss to coat<br \/>\n8.\tIn large frying pan heat corn oil over medium high heat<br \/>\n9.\tAdd chicken. Stir fry until cooked and browned, about 10 minutes.<br \/>\n10.     Drain.  Add to sauce.
