2 Cups Whipping Cream
1 Cup Milk
2/3 Cup Sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 egg yolks
Heat cream, milk, and sugar on medium heat (do not let boil).
Wisk egg yolks. Add some warm mixture to the egg yolks separately and wisk. Add mixture to main pot
Heat mixture and stir on medium heat. Do not let boil. Turn burner off when bubbles start to form around the edges
Cool mixture off as quickly as possible (place warm pot into an ice/cold water bath
Start mixer with ice cream attachment
Add ice cream liquid to mixture along with any additional flavourings
Ice Cream is done when mixture is sticking to the mixer. Can eat right away or put in freezer
Makes about enough to fill a meat loaf pan
