1 1/4 lbs lean ground beef
Oven Ready Lasagna Noodles
1 1/2 lbs grated mozzarella
1 chopped onion
Sauce:
2 large cans stewed tomatoes
1 large can tomato paste
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 bay leaves
Salt and Pepper to taste (think I use about 1 Tablespoon of salt)
1 can mushrooms (optional)
1 small green pepper (diced) (optional)
1. Brown Ground Beef with chopped onion and garlic powder
2. Drain fat and pour meat into a large cooking pot
3. Add sauce. Still well until boiling
4. Simmer uncovered on low for 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally
5. In a 9×13 pan layer sauce, noodles, cheese, repeat. I use 3 layers of noodles
6. Bake covered with foil at 350F for 30 minutes (45 if frozen), then uncovered for 20 minutes at 300F
