Ingredients:
Meatballs:
1 lb ground beef
½ cup quick cooking rolled oats
1 slightly beaten egg
¼ cup milk
1 tsp salt
Dash pepper
Sauce:
1 cup water
½ cup Ketchup
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp corn starch
Preparation Instructions:
1. Combine meatball ingredients and let stand for 15 minutes
2. Shape into balls and brown in hot shortening
3. Combine all of the sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs
4. Simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes (covered). Stir occasionally.
5. Alternatively, may also be placed in a covered casserole dish and baked in a moderate oven for 35-40 minutes.
